About Us
When a local yoga studio closed in 2014, many of us who'd taught together there began to look for opportunities to continue our collaborations and to expand our teaching, intentions, vision for the community and passion for being whole and authentic. We also connected with others in the community interested in bringing practices of dance, drumming & song, Tai Chi/Qigong, explorative writing, trauma resolution exercises and more to the group. Soon it became obvious that while our skills and talents are varied, we share much in spirit and are a group of like-minded people.
We are a tribe, a family, a Kula.
In time we found a perfect home base at Casa de Paz Retreat Center in Yellow Springs and Kula Cooperative Yoga: Movement & More was launched into the world. Casa de Paz means 'House of Peace' and it is truly that. All who teach there, as well as all who visit, experience a sense of calm and reassurance that is intrinsic to the practices we offer.
As we move forward each day, we open ourselves to possibilities for new relationships, teachings, discoveries and enrichment of all kinds. We grow by reaching outward, turning inward, and being present whenever possible.
